The desperate efforts by onetime MI6 agent Max Easton (Mark Strong) to save his family continue in this twisty and compelling espionage thriller. Pressured back into service by his former boss (Alistair Petrie), Max finds his carefully concealed life as a spy exposed as he battles to get to the truth of an increasingly complicated conspiracy that involves the adult son from his first marriage, as well as forces from British and American intelligence agencies.

The fourth episode of the eight-part series, directed by its creator, Matthew Parkhill, sees a murderous drone strike as troubling questions of tactics and loyalties emerge. As Max battles to find answers, the drama jumps from rural France, Beirut and Tehran to London and Langley, creating a complicated puzzle in which agendas are concealed and morality is murky. DE
