In a nondescript village, Minaj and her teacher General Gita eagerly follow Kalpana Chawla’s 2003 space mission aboard the space shuttle Columbia. Bored by the insipid coverage of the mission on All India Radio and BBC Hindi, they convince the local radio jockey Babloo to give them space on the community radio station. Their weekend broadcast exploring the limits of the universe becomes a village favourite, next only to BR Chopra’s Mahabharata, as Minaj and Gita must field the villagers’ wacky questions about space with wit and imagination. Hello Farmaaish is based on a story by Sneh Sapru and Yuki Ellias.
