As Dersch Design & Engineering celebrates its 5th anniversary, it’s fitting to announce founder and CEO, Brian Dersch was recently recognized by the San Diego Business Journal as one of San Diego’s NEXT Top Business Leaders Under 40

Dersch Design & Engineering (DDE), an award-winning electrical engineering firm, celebrated its fifth anniversary on August 3. In conjunction with this milestone, founder and CEO Brian Dersch, P.E. LEED AP was recognized by the San Diego Business Journal as one of San Diego’s NEXT Top Business Leaders Under 40 in the Build Environment category. According to the San Diego Business Journal, the publication received more than 300 nominations for its inaugural program.
Dersch and his family, along with firm representatives, attended the event on August 14, 2018 at the Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter. With more than 500 in attendance, including 150 finalists, San Diego Business Journal President and Publisher, Barbara Chodos and Editor-in-Chief, Nels Jensen announced the 40 honorees. Each was recognized during the program with a brief slide show and presented with a certificate and painted glass award. The recipients were also profiled in the August 27 San Diego Business Journal.

Honorees were selected based on their personal accomplishments, community involvement and career achievements. Dersch launched DDE in 2013, the firm reported 2192% growth since its founding, with 185% increase realized year-over-year for 2017. DDE was ranked #46 on the 2017 San Diego Business Journal list of top engineering firms and #39 on the 2018 list based on the number of full-time licensed engineers as of January 1, 2018. Dersch was also recognized as one of San Diego’s 2017 40 Under 40 brightest young leaders by SD METRO magazine.
