Man found murdered on Sachin-Palsana highway

Surat: A decomposed corpse, believed to be of a 30-year-old man, was found near Radhika Hotel on the Sachin-Palsana highway on Tuesday.
Sachin police registered a case of murder and began their investigation after the preliminary postmortem report found that the man had been hit in the ribs with a blunt object, causing his death. The report suggested that the man may have been killed three days ago.

Police said the corpse was found in the front of a godown next to Sachin Udyog Vikas Sahakari Mandli near Radhika Hotel on Tuesday.

The man was wearing a green full-sleeved shirt, sky blue jeans and a green belt. He had a tattoo ‘MDDM’ on his right hand and below the wrist ‘Hakdani’ was tattooed in English.

According to the postmortem report, the deceased’s ribs were broken and there was damage to his lungs and liver. The lack of injury marks suggest that the deceased was hit with a blunt object.

In last two months, at least four bodies have been discovered in the Pandesara, Unn and Sachin areas.
