3 rape accused assaulted at court

Three rape accused were assaulted at district court premises on Tuesday. The miscreants raped 13-year-old girl on August 28 at Saket Nagar on September after victim lodged complaint accused were nabbed and produced in the court.

After the information of rape spread people gathered at Habibganj police station and demanded strict action against the rape accused and take out procession of the accused but were pacified by the police.

Later when the three were accused Rohit, Naved and Anmol Singh were taken to court they were attacked by protestors and police used mild force to disperse the protestors. The three were produced in the court and sent under judicial custody.  SHO Habibganj police Virendra Singh said that the victim a class 8 student is a resident of Shivaji Nagar lodged complaint stating that the accused Rohit Khangaar asked her to meet outside her house by messaging her over Instagram and when she refused Rohit threatened her of life and when she went outside her house to meet him Rohit was present in a car along with two of his friends Naved and Anmol Singh Chouhan who forced her inside the car and escaped the spot and Rohit and Anmol molested her inside the car. At Habibganj railway crossing Rohit and Anmol alighted off the car while Naved took her to Saket Nagar where he raped her. After the preliminary investigation the police registered a case under sections 363, 366 A and 376 (2) (1) of the IPC and sections 7 and 8 of POCSO Act and nabbed the three accused.
