Burglars broke into a caravan park and stole cash and cigarettes - before taking the CCTV recorders.

Police are appealing for information after thieves broke into the shop and bar at Sandy Beach Caravan Site in Llanfwrog in Anglesey between 1am and 6am on Saturday, August 18.

Officers said the gang broke in “via the main front door and stole numerous tobacco products as well as a cash box containing large amount of cash”.

They then entered the adjoining bar area and offices and the CCTV recorders were taken.

PC Martin Jones said: “I am keen to receive any information from anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour or activity in the area at the time of the break-in.

Police raided two properties

“The disruption caused to the business was extensive.

“This is a shameful act of criminality which can have a detrimental effect on not only the business owners themselves but the community as a whole.

“I’m asking local businesses and communities to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.

“It is also worth reminding the community to ensure their property is always locked and secured or kept out of sight.
