The Delhi Police on Monday arrested two notorious criminals, involved in several cases of ATM fraud in Delhi's Sangam Vihar area.

According to police, the accused identified as Aniket (23) and Gulshan (22) were arrested after they robbed off a Border Security Force (BSF) constable on Sunday.

"According to the complaint filed by BSF constable, he was withdrawing cash when the accused pressed a button due to which the transaction hanged. Shortly after leaving the ATM thinking of that the cash won't come out he left but received a message on his phone regarding transaction of Rs 10,000," said Vijay Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South district.

"As Kumar was near the ATM he grew suspicious about the prescence of the two accused, who on sensing danger tried to escape. However, Kumar caught hold of them and handed them over to police for investigation," said DCP.

"We have recovered seven ATM cards and Rs 10,000 from their possession. Though, during interrogation both the accused have confessed their crime. We are further investigating the matter and finding their role in similar cases," said DCP.
