Employees of Reserve Bank of India will observe a two day mass casual leave over their provident fund and pension related demands. The two day strike will be applicable on September 4th as well as September 5th. Officers and other employees will participate in the mass leave that will paralyse RBI's function for two days. Strike called by the United Forum of Reserve Bank Officers and Employees (UFRBOE) will not affect the functioning of public and private sector banks. The ATM services will not get affected, but NEFT and RTGS operations will be affected. Last week whats app message saying banks will remain closed for 6 days, created a lot of confusion among people. But the finance ministry in a statement clarified that banks will stay open except 2nd September being Sunday and the second Saturday.
