NOIDA: Despite tall claims of sanitation, cleanliness and garbage disposal under Swachh Bharat mission by Noida authority, the residents of the city seem to think otherwise.
On Monday over two dozen RWAs (of sectors 11, 19, 20, 22, 23, 27, 30, 31, 35, 41, 44, 46, 49, 51, 52, 53, 61, 71, 72, 73, 66, 93, 105 and more) sought redressal of pending civic issues with MLA
Pankaj Singh, who visited the
RWA federation office along with Rajeev Tyagi general manager Noida authority.
Common problems according to most RWAs entailed no cleanliness of sectors, increasing encroachment, dirty foul smelling water supply, lack of pruning of trees and dark patches within residential sectors due to non-functioning street lights.
While A N Dhawan secretary general Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations (FONRWA) demanded quality drinking water, beatification of sector parks and increased floor for RWA federation office, president N P Singh maintained transfer of authority staff as a big achievement amidst need to ensure underground laying of power cables, freehold property for all residents of Noida and representation of RWA federation in Noida Authority board.
MLA Singh while assuring redressal of all issues and agreed to look into complaints of unauthorised parking charges in residential sector markets, bank and schools.
