A day after rebel BJP MP from Kurukshetra, Raj Kumar Saini launched his Loktantra Suraksha party at a rally in Panipat, his own party leaders and opposition leaders termed it as “political drama”.

Announcing to launch his party, Saini had claimed to give employment to a member of every family, Rs 5,000 pension to elderly persons and to bring SYL canal waters for south Haryana within a year if voted to power.

Reacting to his announcements, Finance Minister Capt Abhimnayu on Monday said that he (Saini) was separated from the BJP long time back.

“His ideology does not match that of the BJP. We pray that he is blessed with political virtue,” Capt Abhimanyu said while talking to the mediapersons in Hisar.

Lashing out at Raj Kumar Saini for his anti-Jat statements during violent Jat agitation 2016, Capt. Abhimanyu blamed the rebel MP for dividing the community.

While taking a dig at Saini, Haryana Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishan Kumar Bedi said that this is democracy and anyone can form a political party. But, we all know what will happen in the end and where he will (Saini) go, Bedi added.

On the other hand, Ashok Arora, INLD’s Haryana chief said, “The new political party formed by Raj Kumar Saini is orchestrated drama by BJP. If Saini is serious about leaving the ruling BJP, then he should resign immediately.”

“All this political drama has been created to mislead OBC voters,” he added.

Ashok Tanwar, Haryana Congress chief also alleged this is a political drama. The political party by Saini is floated only to mislead the voters, he said.

Saini had made it clear that he will not quit the BJP and complete his five years term.

“I was elected by people and will raise their voice and resolve their grievances till the end of my tenure. If the party wants, they can suspend me,” he had said recently.

While announcing his political outfit on Sunday, Saini had announced his party will contest elections on all 10 Lok Sabha seats and 90 Vidhan Sabha seats in Haryana.

A known critic of his own party and Central and Haryana Governments, Saini had also listed agendas as his top priorities if voted to power in 2019 polls.

“We have vowed to remove caste-based discrimination and will ensure 100 per cent reservation to all castes as per their share in population. Besides, we would adopt a two-child policy, provide employment in the rural areas under MNREGA, a job to at least one member of each family,” he had announced.
