D’argento fresh and ready to fire for Waller at Rosehill

Chris Waller has kept Rosehill Guineas winner D’argento on the fresh side for Saturday’s Theo Marks Quality at Rosehill.

The So You Think four-year-old was third in the Winx Stakes first-up and will use the 1300m group 2 as a lead-up to the Epsom on the October long weekend for which he is a $6 favourite.

“He’s spot on for the Theo Marks next week,” Waller said.

“I could have jumped him out with Winx but I just thought going 1300m next week he didn’t really need to do too much.

"I wanted to keep him sharp. He looked pretty good late in his gallop. He’s in good shape.”

D’argento will part of strong Waller influence on the Rosehill meeting that includes Foxplay, which will resume in the Sheraco Stakes.
