PM speaks to Nagaland CM, assures all possible support to flood-hit State

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday spoke to Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio to take stock of the flood situation.  "Spoke to Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio & took stock of the situation in wake of floods in parts of the State. Assured all possible support to the State in rescue & relief operations. We stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Nagaland & pray for everyone's well being," Modi tweeted.  Nagaland has witnessed an  unprecedented flood and rains  this year.  As per reports, over a dozen persons have been killed and over 3000 displaced. Property worth crores of rupees has been damaged.   On August 28, Rio took to Twitter seeking help from the Government. The Nagaland Government has sought Rs 100 crore from the Centre to restore connectivity. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday spoke to Rio and assured all kinds of help.
