Water level of Ranjit Sagar Dam higher than last year

With the collective and coordinated efforts of PSPCL and Irrigation Department of Punjab Government, water level of Ranjit Sagar Dam has touched 520.43 Meters on August 29, this year where as it was 520.21 meters on August 29, last year.

An official said that the  water level of Ranjit Sagar Dam on April 7, this year was 495.65 Meters in comparison to 509.55 Meters on April 7, 2017, due to lesser inflow in all the dams of North India this year. The Water Level as on August 29, 2018 of BBMB 1638.68 Feet,  Dehar 2922.76 Feet and  Pong 1370.49 Feet which is subsequently lesser as   compared  to previous   year 29-8-2017, BBMB 1669.08 Feet ,Dehar  2920.33 Feet, and Pong 1380.73 Feet.
