Air passengers register protest over cancellation of flights

With cancellation of flights during evening hours, the passengers registered their protest stating that they were not provided prior intimatation about the cancellation. It is said that many passengers had arrived from Ambikapur, Bilaspur, Raigarh and other towns. So they will be stranded till the flight resumes.

As per reports, Swami Vivekananda Airport management on Friday night had cancelled the flights on Friday evening after lightning hit the ATC and damaging vital equipment. This technical snag led to cancellation of evening flights on Friday. Later the management claimed of rectifying the fault and stated that from Sunday morning the flights would resume.

But on Saturday, the flights were cancelled in name of lower visibility. It is said that Saturday morning flights were operated but during evening in name of visibility the problem started. All the private operators had cancelled their flights but the passengers claimed that they were not intimated.

The two flights of Jet Airways were cancelled. Kolkatta and Bangalore flights faced landing problems as first attempt it failed but in second attempt the flight landed. Thus Indigo cancelled its three flights as per reports.
