BENGALURU: A 29-year-old woman was stabbed to death in Shivagange village near Nelamangala allegedly by her
jilted lover.
The accused has been identified as Shashidhar, 27, a resident of Kambaalu and the deceased is Rathna. The incident occurred when the woman was on her way to a temple with her husband Lakshman. Police said Shashidhar and Rathna had an affair but recently grew apart due to some differences. Rathna started to avoid Shashidhar whenever he approached her.
Enraged, Shashidhar stabbed her around 1.30pm on Saturday and fled, said Dabaspet police, who are on the lookout for him.
