KCR’s Cabinet meet before mega rally feeds early poll speculation

Even as Hyderabad and its surroundings were drowned in a sea of pink — the official colour of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti ahead of mother of all rallies “Pragati Nivedana Sabha” on Sunday — Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has convened a meeting of his Cabinet at his official residence around 1 pm, hours before the show of strength.

The development is being seen in the context of intense speculation that KCR is pressing ahead with his plans for an early Assembly election. After the meeting, the CM fly to the venue of public meeting at Kongara Kalan village. The event was being billed as the biggest political mass gathering as the TRS estimates that 25 lakh people from across the State will attend it.
