Mumbai: Brace for Sunday rail blocks on main, Harbour lines

MUMBAI: The Central Railway will carry out a megablock on Thane-Kalyan Down slow line and between Chunabhatti/Bandra and CSMT on Sunday, and this could cause inconvenience to commuters.

The main line block will be between Thane and Kalyan on Down slow track from 11am to 4pm. The Down slow/semi fast line services leaving Mulund station from 10.47am to 3.50pm will be diverted on Down fast line between Mulund and Kalyan stations halting at Thane, Diva and Dombivli stations and will arrive to their destination 10 minutes behind schedule.

The Up fast services leaving Kalyan from 10.37am to 3.06pm will halt at Diva, Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar and Kurla stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and will arrive to their destination 15 minutes behind the schedule.

The Down slow locals will not be available at Kalva, Mumbra, Kopar and Thakurli stations during the block period.

Passengers of these stations are allowed to travel via Kalyan, Dombivali, Diva, and Thane station. The Down Mail/Express trains during the block period will be running 15 minutes behind the schedule.

The Harbour line block will be carried out between CSMT and Chunabhatti/ Bandra stations from 11.10am to 4.40pm.
Special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period. Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10 am to 6 pm during block period.
