Harshita Tomar bags bronze in Asian Games

Showcasing an impressive performance, Harshita Tomar, the talented sailing player of Madhya Pradesh State Water Sports Academy, won a bronze medal in Asian Games.

Currently the Asian Games 2018 are being played in Jakarta. Harshita performed brilliantly and won a bronze at Laser 4.7 open event. The promising and talented player of the academy created history by winning the race even leaving the boys behind.

 State Sports and Youth Welfare MinisterYashodhara Raje Scindia congratulated Harishita for presenting a brilliant performance at Asian Games and bagging a bronze medal. Director Sports and Youth Welfare S.L. Thoussen also congratulated her and expressed his happiness on this achievement of Harshita Tomar. Harshitha Tomar, player of Madhya Pradesh State Water Sports Academy, won the bronze medal in the third place after the results of the announcement announced after twelve races in the laser 4.7 event of Sailing under Asian Games. Govind Bairagi, the Academy's another player, remains at the fourth position.

Interestingly, Harshita Tomar brought first individual medal for the State in Asian Games. Expressing happiness over the achievement of Harshita Tomar, Yashodhara Raje Scindia said that Harshita Tomar is a talented player of Madhya Pradesh Sailing Academy and has given the first individual medal to Madhya Pradesh, leaving the male players behind in the Asian Games. The Sports Minister said that this is just the beginning; the future of the players in Madhya Pradesh is in the hands of the best coaches. Through the international sports facilities, the players are glorifying the region by performing spectacularly.

Harshita is being trained by GL Yadav technical consultant and chief coach of Madhya Pradesh State Water Sports Academy.
