Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, The Ekta Shivir began at Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) No. 1 under the theme ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’. Students from Manipur and students of Kendriya Vidyalayas from the state gave their presentations at the camp. Students belonging to six sankuls will participate in various competitions.
The aim of these contests is to develop feelings of patriotism, tolerance and harmony among students and help them become good citizens. The contests that would be organised include group dance, Hindi and Rnglish debate, spell-bee, creative writing, painting, quiz etc.
Earlier school principal Saurabh Jaitlry presented a green plant to the chief guest deputy commissioner Sunil Shrivastava to welcome him. The programme began with Saraswati Vandana. Kendriya Vidyalaya no.1 students presented welcome dance and song.
