Nigerian arrested with 300 grams of heroin

LUDHIANA: Samrala Police on Saturday arrested a Nigerian after it recovered three hundred grams of heroin from his possession. The accused was identified as 32-year-old Emacca Ofer of Ezzi Liva Inugu in Nigeria, presently living at Chandan Vihar in Delhi.

Giving details, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khanna Dhruv Dahiya said that as part of the special drive against drug abuse, Samrala police stopped the accused at a check post on Sua Puli Bondli on Otalan Bypass on Saturday. He added that on checking of the accused on suspicion, police recovered 300 grams of Heroin from his possession.

SSP said that the accused was arrested on the spot and booked under sections 21/61/85 of NDPS act at Samrala police station.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Samrala Harsimrat Singh said that the accused was travelling to Ludhiana in a bus when he was arrested with Heroin in his bag. He added that the accused is living in Delhi for last five years and for last one year he was into drug peddling.
