KANPUR: National president of the
Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav on Friday arrived in
Etawah to offer condolence to former
Rajya Sabha member Darshan Singh Yadav who passed away on Thursday.
The former chief minister visited the late MP’s Hainwara residence located on Etawah-Saifai road and interacted with the deceased’s brother Sobran Singh Yadav, MLA from Karhal assembly of
Mainpuri and other family members.
Akhilesh described former MP’s death as an irreparable loss to the party. Expressing grief at the demise, he offered his condolences to the bereaved family members-.Darshan Singh Yadav passed away at his residence in Etawah on Thursday. He was 76.
When asked to comment on his uncle Shivpal’s Secular Morcha, Akhilesh said, “I have come here to offer condolence and won’t speak anything on the issue.”
Shivpal and Ram Gopal went to Hainwara to attend the last rites of the the late SP leader at his native village on Thursday evening.
