Ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Delhi BJP  on Friday requested Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi Chandrabushan Kumar to remove names of any Bangladeshi or any foreigner from the voting list.

The BJP demanded suo motu cognizance that the CEO should ensure that wherever any person of Bangladeshi origin or any foreigner has been included in the voters list their names should be deleted from the voter list.  Referring to the ratio of female voters to male voters in the city, the Delhi BJP General Secretary Kuljeet Singh Chahal suggested the officer to launch a special campaign for the registration of female voters.

He said, “According to the census of the country the national ratio should be 940 women against 1,000 men but in the Voter Lists of Delhi there are only 810 women against 1,000 men. Hence the CEO should launch special campaign for the registration of women voters.”

The BJP further demanded that the campaign to encourage youth to vote should also be launched in the same way in which special campaign is initiated to encourage the voters to cast their votes just before the elections.

The suggestions were made during a meeting called by CEO of Delhi in the context of forthcoming Loksabha Elections.

Apart from Kuljeet Singh Chahal, General Secretary and  former MLA Subhash Sachdeva was also participated in the meeting and made important suggestions.
