Health department holds meet

Keeping in view of the seasonal diseases during and after the monsoon, health department ground staff has been asked to remain alert. Health department secretary Niharika Singh Barik presided over the review meeting and directed to ensure all emergency medicines stock in hospitals and at remote areas. 

She also directed to maintain necessary stock of most vital medical equipment in all the hospitals. For dengue affected areas, dengue testing RD-Kit and Termiphos, can be obtained from Chhattisgarh Medical Corporation.

The officials were also directed to make all necessary vital preparation be made before and all should remain alert. The online monitoring of availability of medicines and equipment in hospitals should be done to cover come any crises, she said.

Health Commissioner R Prasanna, National Health Mission, Mission Director Dr Sarveshvar Bhure, health and family planning and epidemic Director Dr R R Sahni, all 27 district Chief Medical and Health Officers, Civil Surgeon and District Programme Managers were present.

Barik also directed to take stern action against the hospitals no implementing the schemes properly and also ensuring distribution of medicated mosquito nets along with necessary basic medicines for treatment in malaria prone areas.
