Rail block between Santacruz and Goregaon could lead to train cancellations

MUMBAI: The Western Railway will carry out a rail block between Santacruz and Goregaon stations on Sunday and this could lead to cancellation of a few trains.

This may inconvenience commuters travelling by the suburban section during the block period on Sunday, sources said.

"To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signals and overhead equipment, a jumbo block will be taken on Up and Down fast lines between Santacruz and Goregaon from 10:35 am to 3.35 pm on Sunday. During the block period, all fast line trains will run on slow lines between Santacruz and Goregaon stations," said an official.

Detailed information about the rail block will also be available with the station masters concerned, the official added.
