On cam: Congress MLA drinks ‘contaminated’ water to protest against Chhattisgarh water resources dept

A Congress MLA from Chhattisgarh protested against the supply of ‘contaminated’ water by drinking it himself and then forcing the water department official to drink the same. The incident took place at Jagdalpur during an open session organised for the people of Chitapur village. Congress MLA Deepak Kumar Baij said that the underground water in the village has turned red due to the excessive presence of Iron and the villagers have no option but to drink the water despite the health risks involved in its consumption.
