NEW DELHI: The online application process for
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main January 2019 has begun today, i.e., September 1, 2018.
The JEE (Main) 2019 will be conducted twice before admissions in the next academic session.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official websites - nta.ac.in and jeemain.nic.in from September 1 to 30, 2018. The examination fees can be paid online up to October 1, 2018.
From this year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting all major examinations like JEE, NEET UGC-NET, CMAT, GPAT etc.
The JEE Main I Exam would be conudcted on eight separate days in the month of january 2019 beginning from 6 to 20.

The JEE Main paper I will be held in two shifts - morning 9:30 am - 12:30 pm) and afternoon (02:30 pm to 5:30 pm) -while the paper II will be conducting in single shift only.
A candidate may appear in Paper 1 and/or Paper 2 depending upon the course/s he/she wishes to pursue. All the candidates aspiring to take admission to the undergraduate programmes at IITs for the year 2019 will have to appear in the Paper -1 (B.E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main)-2019. Based on the performance in Paper-1 (B.E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main)-2019, a number of top candidates as per the requirement of JEE (Advanced) (including all categories) will be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced)-2019.
Candidates kindly note that the admission to IITs will be based only on category-wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE (Advanced)
Similarly, the second JEE (Main) - April 2019 will be conducted between April 6-20, 2019, for which a separate notice will be issued by the NTA and the candidates will be required to apply separately.
As you are aware that there will be two tests JEE (Main) 1 and JEE (Main)- 2, but candidates are not necesserily required to appear in both the tests. In case, a candidate appears in both the tests, the better of the two scores will be used for the admissions and eligibility for JEE (Advanced) - 2019.
