Asian Games 2018 Hockey Highlights: India won the bronze medal in Men’s Hockey at the Asian Games 2018 after registering a 2-1 win over Pakistan. Akashdeep Singh scored the opening goal for India in the third minute of the match. With no teams scoring a goal in the next two quarters, the match went to an intense fourth quarter. Harmanpreet Singh made the most of the penalty corner awarded in the 50th minute to double India’s lead. A goal from Muhammad Aziz brought Pakistan back into the match but it was not enough to win them the match.

Much for Pakistan to do after the first quarter with India not really being tested so far. HERE WE GO!
End of first quarter - Mandeep had a great chance to get the second goal but he has struck it outside. Solid display from India in the first 15 minutes and the men in blue rightfully lead over Pakistan. But with just one goal lead, India would not be relaxing just yet.

12' Lalit Kumar Upadhyay brilliantly takes a long pass and controls it enough to move inside Pakistan's semi-circle. But Pakistan defence quick to cover him up before he could deliver another dangerous pass to his teammate.

10' Ten minutes into the match and it has been a pretty one-sided affair so far, barring the one penetration made by Pakistan. India continue to enter in Pakistan's half and the quick strides are confusing Pakistan's defence.

GOALLLLLL! Akashdeep Singh scores the ball. Lalit Kumar Upadhyay rolls the ball down inside the semi-circle and then rolls it backwards to Akashdeep as the defence tries to tackle him. Akash with plenty of space with him, hammers it inside the back of the net.
