Gearing up for the high-stake Lok Sabha election barely a year away, the senior leaders of the State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP),  including the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, met to firm up the poll strategy  at the State party office in Dehradun on Friday. The party’s Lok Sabha constituency in-charges and their deputies were among those who attended the brainstorming session. The State BJP chief, Ajay Bhatt presided over the meeting.

Focussed on the election preparations of the party for all the five Lok Sabha seats up for grab in the State, the party top brass asked the party functionaries to take the achievements of the Government to the people. The social welfare schemes rolled out by the Narendra Modi Government should be highlighted through vigorous campaign, the party leaders stressed.  The State party brass made it clear that the clean sweep the party achieved during 2014 election must repeat this time too.

A call centre for registering grievances of the common people was opened at the State party office on the day. Speaking after the centre was opened, the Chief Minister said that the party would reach out to all the families living in the State through the call centre.
