Pune: CBI arrests Gauri Lankesh murder suspects in Dabholkar case

PUNE: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Saturday arrested Gauri Lankesh murder suspects Rajesh Digavekar and Amit Bhangera in the murder of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar murder case.

Digavekar and Bhangera were produced before a magisterial court along with the earlier arrested accused Sachin Andure, one of the shooters in Dabholkar murder.

According to the CBI, "Digavekar is involved in giving fire arms training to Andure at Maharashtra and Karnataka while Bhangera and earlier arrested ENT doctor Virendra sinh Tawade are involved in the criminal conspiracy for committing the murder of Dabholkar."

The court has sent Digavekar and Bhangera in CBI custody remand till September 10. Andure was sent in magisterial custody for 14 days.
