BJP national president Amit Shah will be touring Rajasthan five times between September and October to motivate party workers and reach out to various sections including women youth and farmers.

State BJP President Madanlal Saini said Shah will be visiting Rajasthan on September 11, 18, 24, 26 and October 4. During his visits, Shah will address meetings of farmers, women, youth and other sections, said Saini.

He said Shah will also participate in a mega event planned by the BJP in honour of Deendayal Upadhyay at his birthplace Dhankya, 50 km from Jaipur, on September 24 or 26.

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje is currently taking out her Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra and there are warning signals for the BJP with anger of different sections such as Rajputs, farmers, youth, Dalits against the government coming to the fore. In this context, Shah’s meetings could be aimed at placating them ahead of the assembly polls.

Saini said Shah will visit all seven divisions during his visits and will address Shakti ammelans where party workers and office bearers will be present. Shah will review the party’s poll preparedness, booth level management and motivate workers.

Meetings in a couple of divisions will be clubbed as Shah will be touring only for five days, said Saini.

Saini said in each division, Shah will address meetings of different groups. “There will be a women’s programme at one division headquarter, a meeting of youth at another division headquarter and similarly meetings of farmers, Dalits and other sections, said Saini.

Saini said while Shah’s programe is yet to be finalised, his first meeting could be in Nagaur, the Jat heartland and the farmer stronghold. The BJP is keen to woo both the Jats and farmers and Shah could address a farmers’ meeting there.
