Pakistan's visited the Headquarter (GHQ), for the security briefing on Thursday morning where he called for nation's support as it is facing external and internal challenges.

Khan was received by of Staff (CoAS) at GHQ and was given a of honour who then laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-i-Shuhada (Monument to Martyrs), reported

army's media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) tweeted, "PM being briefed on defence, internal security and other professional matters. Ministers of Defence, Foreign Affairs, Finance, Information and for Interior are accompanying the PM."

The meeting lasted for eight hours.

CoAS asserted that the will function like any other government institution. He further said, "There is perception army interferes in the civilian affairs but please be rest assured, the army will function like any other government institution."

Bajwa thanked Khan for his visit and his confidence in the country's armed forces and assured him that the army shall, "God willing, continue to deliver on nation's expectations of defending the motherland at all costs and sacrifices."

Khan also assured Bajwa to provide all resources required to maintain the capability and capacity of the armed forces.
