Chief Minister lays foundation stone of development works worth Rs. 300 crore at Surkhi
Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that we have not given just slogans to eliminate poverty from the state but we have made concrete arrangement to bring happiness in the life of poor.
We have started a campaign to transforms people’s life with development. Chouhan was speaking on the occasion of bhoomi poojan programme of Jera Medium Irrigation Project of Sagar district costing Rs. 300 crore including development works. He also made announcement to make Surkhi as Nagar Panchayat and opening of ITI at Surkhi.
CM Chouhan further mentioned that we had received Madhya Pradesh in a very bad state one and half decade ago.The state was without roads, without irrigation facilities, no electricity no proper education arrangements and children future was dark and people were leading life under the darkness.
We have made the state happy and prosperous. While enlightening about the public welfare schemes, Chouhan urged people to come forward and avail the benefits.
Chouhan performed bhoomi poojan of Jera Medium irrigation Project costing Rs. 171 crore which will facilitate irrigation on 50 thousand hectare land. Along with this, he also performed bhoomi poojan of Kalipathar Irrigation Project costing Rs. 13.86 crore and Padariakalan Dam worth Rs. 12.75 crore.
Minister for Forest Dr. Gourishankar Shejwar, Minister for Home Bhupendra Singh, MP Rajya Sabha Prabhat Jha, MPs Laxminarayan Yadav and Prahalad Patel, MLAs Harvansh Singh Rathore, Narayan Prasad Kabirpanthi,Chairperson of State Women Commission Smt. Lata Vankhede and other Public Representatives were present on the occasion.
