Lucknow: Two days after his decision to form Samajwadi Secular Morcha, SP leader Shivpal Yadav will address a gathering on Friday under the banner of ‘Rashtriya Ekta Sammelan’. The gathering will be held in Muzaffarnagar’s Budhana area.
Shivpal, the younger brother of Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav, tweeted about the meeting on Friday morning. The gathering is being touted as a show of power and strength.
In his tweet, Shivpal urged people to come to Budhana at 3 pm for the gathering to discuss the 'present challenges' and the 'Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb'.
Shivpal has invited all the veteran leaders of Samajwadi Party to participate in the Rashtriya Ekta Sammelan. The MLA from Jaswantnagar has also said that “all dissenters of SP” are welcome to join the bandwagon in Muzaffarnagar on Friday in order to send out a strong message to the SP leadership.
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has called Shivpal’s announcement of Samajwadi Secular Morcha a part of 'distraction tactics'.
On Wednesday, Shivpal Yadav had claimed, “I am not being given any work, so we have decided to form the Samajwadi Secular Morcha. I waited this long because I wanted the Samajwadi Party to stay united. I welcome anyone who is being sidelined in the party.”
