A new spoof video featuring Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan as Bahubali, ahead of the state assembly elections, has taken the internet by storm.

The quirky fan-made video, doing rounds on social media, has Chouhan’s face morphed into the Bahubali avatar, the protagonist in 2015 blockbuster hit by the same name. The video also features a wide range of politicians, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi, former Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, state Congress chief Kamal Nath and senior party leader Jyotiraditya Scindia.

The promo shows a beefed-up Chouhan pulling off stunts, mouthing dialogues and fighting Scindia, who has been portrayed as evil “Bhallaldev”. The video takes a dig at Kamal Nath, who plays the wily Bijjaladeva, Bahubali’s estranged uncle. The real surprise is Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar, who is depicted as Katappa. The video also revisits the iconic scene where ‘Bahubali’ carries a Shivalinga on his shoulder.

The climax has Scindia and Chouhan charging towards each other in a battlefield with the latter rubbing sand on his chest after emerging victorious.

Madhya Pradesh, along with three other states, is slated to have assembly polls this year.
