Seven persons died in three separate road accidents in different parts of the State on Friday.
Four of a family got crushed to death at Maddinkunta village in Sadashivapet of Sangareddy when the multi-utility vehicle they were travelling in rammed into a lorry from behind. Eight others travelling in the vehicle sustained injuries and were shifted to local government hospital. Shivaji Ram Ingle, 27, and his family members went to Wadi to attend his younger brother’s engagement and started for their home in the city. The vehicle driver, who was allegedly in an inebriated condition, crashed into the lorry in the front.
The vehicle’s front part got stuck underneath the lorry. Death was instant for Ingle, who got married 15 months ago, Narendra Vairal, 47, and Varun Ingle, 10, while Trupthi Ingle, 16, died on the way to hospital, the police said. In another accident at the toll plaza near Toopran in Medak district, a container-laden lorry crashed into a car in the front killing a person G. Anitha, 50, and injuring six others travelling in the latter. Hit by the lorry, the car got flung and rammed into another car in the front.
Warangal Police Commissioner V. Ravinder and his family members travelling in the second car, escaped unhurt though their vehicle got extensively damaged. The victim Anitha is a relative of Mr. Ravinder. They were returning to city from Basara in Nirmal district.
In the third accident, a speeding car killed a pedestrian and a vegetable vendor on the by-pass road in Karimnagar. Prashanth, 24, was walking across the road while Majid, 26, was cleaning his four-wheeler by roadside when the car hit them.
