Rajkot: A builder’s body was found at the site where he used to supervise his work in Motinagar locality of Keshod in Junagadh district late night on Wednesday.
Police said the body of Keval Savani (28) bore several injury marks on his head and face. It is believed that he was attacked with sharp-edged weapons and a bludgeon.

“The assailants, whose identities and number are yet to be ascertained, also robbed Savani of his gold rings and gold chain, worth Rs 4 lakh, and a smartphone after murdering him,” said Keshod police station inspector D J Jhala.

As Savani did not return home from work, his father Ramesh Savani (52) sent labourers to the site where they found his body lying in a pool of blood. Following this, Ramesh informed the cops.

The crime is believed to have been committed between 11.30 pm and 1 am on Wednesday night.
