Two students were injured in a clash that broke out on the Berhampur University campus in Odisha on Wednesday.
The injured have been admitted to the MKCG medical college and hospital in Berhampur. As tension prevailed, two platoons of police force were deployed on the university campus.
Union elections
It is suspected that the clash was due to coming students’ union elections.
According to sources, some senior students and others asked the juniors to attend a meeting. When they refused to do so, the senior students allegedly attacked them with cricket bats, iron rods and sticks.
