Tractor in PUBG makes Anand Mahindra curious

It seems Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra could be the latest to start playing the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, popularly known as PUBG. This is because a Mahindra tractor in the gameplay of PUBG has caught his interests. PUBG fans were delighted to discover a Mahindra tractor while playing the game and started to share screenshots of the gameplay. Very soon, Twitter exploded with screenshots and tweets from PUBG fans, mostly Indians, expressing their excitement. Some ardent fans of the game also tagged Anand Mahindra on Twitter expressing their glee on seeing an Indian brand in PUBG.
Replying to the tweets, Mahindra replied from his verified personal handle, "Ok, I admit I’m embarrassed. I try to keep abreast of the latest happenings in the world but what on earth is PUBG? And of course I’m pleased a Mahindra tractor figures in it. What happens to the tractor, by the way?"
In response, fans explained the use (or rather non-use) of the tractor in the gameplay.
So, for those unaware, here is what exactly popular Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) game PUBG. Up to 100 players parachute onto a remote 8x8 km island to battle in a winner-takes-all showdown. Players must locate and scavenge their own weapons, vehicles and supplies, and defeat every player in a visually and tactically rich battleground that forces players into a shrinking play zone. The game was first released in 2017.
In a related news, Tencent Games has partnered with the new movie, “Mission: Impossible – Fallout,” to deliver all-new in-game content inspired by the film. PUBG MOBILE is developed by Tencent Games and PUBG Corp. and based on PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the original PC and Xbox One game that was released in 2017.
