Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral meetings with President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina on the sidelines of 4th BIMSTEC summit in Kathmandu today.
Mr Modi and Mr Sirisena held extensive deliberations on various aspects of India-Sri Lanka friendship. Both the leaders also discussed a number of projects undertaken by India in Sri Lanka.

Addressing media persons, Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said that Mr Modi reiterated that India is fully committed to assist Sri Lanka in anyway it desires in taking forward the developmental projects.
The Prime Minister also held bilateral talks with his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina. The two leaders reviewed a full range of India -Bangladesh relations and ways to boost economic and cultural ties.
Mr Modi will have bilateral meetings with Prime Minister of Nepal K.P. Sharma Oli and the leaders of Thailand, Myanmar and Bhutan tomorrow.
