Post the Malta schedule of Salman Khan starrer Bharat, Katrina Kaif is on a road trip. If her Instagram stories are anything to go by, she is taking a short break from work and is at her other home in London. In the video clip posted on Instagram, titled ‘road trip’ (in Hindi), Katrina can be seen in a relaxed mood in the back seat of a car.

While we do not know who is making the video as we see Katrina look at the camera and her phone. At one point, a song playing on the stereo mentions ‘smile’ and, in a second, the pretty actor flashes a dazzling smile.

Bharat is the second time Katrina and Salman are working with Ali Abbas, after the highly successful, Tiger Zinda Hai. The first part of the Tiger franchise, Ek Tha Tiger, was directed by Kabir Khan of the Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame.

Katrina wasn’t the initial choice for Bharat. Priyanka Chopra was to star opposite Salman. However, India’s latest global star made an abrupt exit from the film. While she has not spelt out the reason, it has been alleged that the decision was prompted by her wedding to American singer Nick Jonas later this year. Another reason cited was that she had bagged a big Hollywood project and hence, wasn’t keen on Bharat. It was also reported that Salman was mighty miffed by her decision, which was robustly refuted by the film’s director Ali Abbas.

Meanwhile, the shoot of the film is on course. On the occasion of Independence Day, the makers also released a teaser.
