Five nabbed for stealing cattle

Ratibad police have nabbed 5 miscreants involved in stealing cattle and recovered five buffaloes worth Rs 3 L from them on Tuesday.

Five buffaloes were stolen from Rasulia Barela village owned by Gendalal Yadav of Jehangirabad on August 21 and during the probe, police traced the truck owned by Mohammad Mubeen which was used in transporting the buffaloes. SHO Ratibad police Suneel Bhadoria said that Rafeeq was acquainted with Mubeen and took vehicle to transport cattle for the festival of Eid for which Mubeen agreed but later when he found that his truck was used for stealing cattle, he informed  cops and then, the truck was tracked but accused managed to escape but  were later arrested. Two of the accused are still absconding

The nabbed accused have denied involvement in earlier crimes of stealing of cattle in the area, he added. SHO Bhadoria said that Rafeeq was nabbed for two burglaries by Nishatpura police.

A case under section 380 of the IPC was registered.

Mubeen told the police that Rafeeq of Karond hired his truck bearing registration number MP04GA3834  for that purpose. Rafeeq Khan, Chand Khan, Lal Miyan, Saleem Khan and Aleem Khan were nabbed while two are still absconding
