Dulquer Salmaan may soon be shooting for a film in Kanpur. The producers of the film '
The Zoya Factor' have sent in a written request to the Regional Sports Officer (RSO), Kanpur, for permission to shoot a few scenes of the film at the Green Park Stadium. The letter addressed to
Ajay Kumar Sethi, RSO, Kanpur, says the production house would like to shoot the film at the
Green Park Stadium from October 15 to November 15.
Confirming the news, Sethi, tells us, "I have received a letter from the production house, which has requested us to permit them for the shoot of film The Zoya Factor at the Green Park Stadium."
As per the information in the letter, actor Dulquer Salmaan, who is playing the character of an Indian cricket team captain in the film, will be shooting some scenes of the World Cup at the stadium. The production house has requested for permission to shoot at the main ground, galleries, dressing room and the commentator cabin of the stadium. As per the shooting schedule, the film's crew will be shooting for day matches as well as for night matches at the stadium. For this they have also requested the use of the flood lights during the shoot of the night match sequences.
Sethi informs us that he has already started the formalities to grant timely permission to the production house for the film shoot. "I have already asked my department to figure out the expenses that the Green Park Stadium would incur during the shoot of the film. As soon as the expenses are calculated, I will meet Vijay Vishwas Pant, District Magistrate, Kanpur, with a detailed report for the final go ahead for the permission of the shoot at the Green Park Stadium," says Sethi.
According to sources, actress Sonam Kapoor will also be shooting portions of the film at the stadium, as will a crew of 150 people and around 300 junior artists.
