MUMBAI: A developer from Rajkot, Shabbir Bharmal (47), and two of his associates have been arrested after two employees of Bharmal's business associate alleged that they had been kidnapped by him.
The two complainants, who were in Bharmal's car, fled from the vehicle as he started screaming at them.
The complainants' employer developer Dinesh Shah owed Bharmal Rs 4 lakh which Shah had failed to repay.
The police said that he asked Shah's two employees to accompany him in his car to meet Shah to get his money back. When the car halted at a signal, the two fled and sought help from a traffic cop posted there.
Bharmal and his associates are in police custody till Thursday.
