LUDHIANA:
Khanna police on Thursday arrested a woman after poppy husk and ganja was recovered from her possession at a bus stand in Bhatiyan.
The accused has been identified as Mohinder Kaur of Herian in Machiwarra Sahib.
Senior superintendent of police Dhruv Dahiya said that during patrolling at the bus stand, a police team stopped a woman on suspicion. He added that on her frisking, police recovered 1kg 200g of poppy husk and 800g ganja from her possession.
The SSP said that the accused was arrested on the spot adding that a case under various sections of NDPS Act was registered against the woman at Machiwarra Sahib Police station.
