The BJP has unleashed the  “grandfather of all Emergencies” in India, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday said, launching a no-holds-barred attack on the saffron outfit for launching a ”politics of killing” in Bengal, and vowing to see the back of theNarendra Modi regime in 2019.

Addressing a huge rally of the Trinamool Congress Chhatra Parishad, the students’ organ of the ruling Trinamool Congress, on its foundation day, the Chief Minister attacked the BJP for unleashing a reign of terrorin the country.

“Any Opposition leader who is protesting against their strong-arm tactic is being intimidated with Central agencies,” she said, adding her party would do everything to throw the BJP out of power in 2019.

“The send-off bell has started ringing for the BJP. Come 2019 they will be not be seen on the streets. The way they are terrorizing the Opposition leaders will be answered in every inch,” Banerjee said, adding “people talk about the Emergency imposed by then Prime MinisterIndira Gandhi. But the kind of rule the BJP has unleashed now isnothing but grandfather of Emergency.”

On the National Register for Citizens, Banerjee said her Government will not allow the Centre to impose the NRC regime in Bengal.

“They have been threatening of bringing NRC in Bengal like they have done in Assam by throwing out lakhs of Indian citizens from the list. But we in Bengal will never allow them to do so.

“The BJP is threatening us with NRC. But they must know that we are Bengal Tigers and will give them a befitting reply if they dare bring NRC here.”

Referring to the ongoing violence over formation of panchayat boards Banerjee accused the BJP for experimenting “politics of killing” in Bengal. “The Harmads (mercenaries) of  CPI(M) have today turned into Jallads (butchers) of the BJP and are provoking violence in the State.

They have won just a few seats in the erstwhile Maoist belt of Jangalmahal whereas we have won thousands of seats in the panchayats.

They are celebrating the small victory by attacking our men in the regions. Even today one of our local leaders has been brutally murdered near Jhargram.

“The BJP with the help of CPI(M) has resorted to a politics of killing in Bengal,” adding, those who dared to protest the BJP’s dirty designs were intimidated by the central agencies.
