Five govt officials arrested by police in Mizoram

Five government officials including two women were arrested in district for their alleged involvement in the burglary in their office on August 23 night, a senior police said today.

of Police H L told over phone that five officials of the Election office of district were arrested for their alleged involvement in the burglary of their office on August 23 night when all the forms duly filled in by Bru people in six relief camps were found missing.

The SP said the police was interrogating the five officials at the police station.

The burglary apparently took place on August 23 night and the district administration submitted FIR on the next night, he said.
