NEW DELHI: The data price war in the telecom industry is not going to end anytime soon as telecom operators are launching one plan after the other to woo its customers. Recently, Airtel introduced new plans for its prepaid customers and now Vodafone has rolled out a new plan for its 3G and 4G users.

According to a report by Telecom Talk, the service provider has launched a new plan of Rs 458 for its prepaid customers. Under the new plan, the Vodafone subscribers will get 1.4GB data per day along with unlimited local and STD calling and 100 SMS per day. The new plan comes with the validity of 84 days.

The new plan from Vodafone will compete against the existing Rs 448 plans from Airtel and Reliance Jio. Under the Rs 448 plan, Airtel offers 1.4GB data and 100 SMS with unlimited calling benefits for the period of 82 days. On the other hand, Reliance Jio offers unlimited calling with 2GB data per day and 100 SMS under the same plan for Rs 448. Apart from increased data, Reliance Jio also offers more validity. The Rs 448 plan from Reliance Jio is valid for the period of 84 days.

Last week, Vodafone rolled out three new prepaid plans that offer at least 1.5GB data per day. Vodafone subscribers can now choose from 1.4GB, 1.5GB, 2GB, 3GB, 3.5GB and 4.5GB daily data plans.
