A Division Bench of Justices M.M. Sundresh and N. Sathish Kumar of the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Wednesday ordered the removal of at least 20 flex boards that were found to be causing hindrance to the public in Kovilpatti.
Bharathi Kannamma, in her public interest litigation petition, sought removal of the hoardings put up across Kovilpatti – near temples, schools, government offices and other places – causing disturbance to public and traffic. She pointed out that 20 such flex boards were recently put up in violation of earlier orders of the High Court.
