Chief Minister Raghubar Das along with his other counterparts from the BJP ruled States attended a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and several other senior leaders at the party headquarters in Delhi on Tuesday.

The exercise is said to be crucial in the run up of poll-packed year ahead and learnt to have brainstormed ways to propagate more about welfare schemes running in the State with the help of the Center along with report card presentation.

“The Chief Minister presented report card about status of several pro-poor schemes before the Prime Minister and the party president. He summed up that over two crore people of the State have been benefited out of schemes like housing for all, Ujjwala and power for all etc,” said a party leader.

It is learnt that probable names of the candidates for 2019 Lok Sabha polls have also been submitted before the party high command for final consideration which is based on particular performances of the sitting MPs and feedback gathered from their respective constituencies. The party in power at the Center had swept 12 out of 14 Lok Sabha seats in 2014 which is considered a big challenge to repeat this time again.
