KOLKATA:
Calcutta University has announced fresh dates for the undergraduate examinations which were scheduled on August 28 but were deferred without citing any reasons. The new dates for the exams are August 29, August 30, August 31, September 1, September 4 and September 6. The notice with fresh dates, batch and paper has been uploaded on the university's website.
Principals of several colleges said the exams were postponed because they clashed with the foundation day of
Trinamool Congress Chatra Parishad which is observed on a large scale. Several thousand college and university students attend the programme.
